Your video never leaves this computer

Web VSE reads the video you choose directly in the browser, recognizes the subtitles on screen, and saves them as an SRT file. Throughout the process the video, the captured frames and the text are handled only on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

Supported formats
Common video files such as MP4, MOV, MKV, FLV and WebM. A few videos with unusual codecs may not be readable; convert them to a regular MP4 first.
After closing the tab
The video is cleared, and the subtitle result stays in History, in this browser only.
First use
Downloads the recognition components once; after that it works offline too.
Recognition result
There may be a few typos; you can fix them in the result table before downloading.

Recognition uses PP-OCRv6 tiny/small, running locally on the CPU
